About The Event

Join us for a fascinating discussion on the ways internet communication shapes and distorts our civic discourse and on the possibility for progressive reform. OCMA featured artist and labor lawyer York Chang examines how we understand truth, falsity, and credibility; communications strategist and co-host of the media criticism podcast Citations Needed Nima Shirazi investigates how media and institutions manipulate public narratives in the digital age; and UCLA Professor in Information Studies and Design Media Arts Ramesh Srinivasan explores how the internet could be fundamentally re-imagined to bring about more ethical, democratic, and inclusive outcomes.  This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition York Chang:To Be Wrong With Infinite Precision.
