We are enormously grateful to the individuals who give generously of their time to support all that we do.The Camille and Eric Durand Docent Council, Modernists, Museum Council, and Visionaries are an integral part of the museum family and the museum staff thanks them for their tireless work on the museum's behalf.
CAMILLE AND ERIC DURAND DOCENT COUNCIL
The Camille and Eric Durand Docent Council is a volunteer organization that works with OCMA’s education department to provide meaningful educational experiences and tours that engage diverse audiences in observation and discovery of works of art. The Docent Council is currently full. Periodically, the museum recruits new docents. If you are interested in hearing from us when we open up the next docent cohort, click here to contact.
OCMA’s newest membership group for young professionals, collectors, and philanthropists (age 21-45) interested in supporting OCMA and exploring art and culture. Through exclusive monthly events, Modernists will introduce you to the most compelling creatives who are shaping art, food, fashion and culture, both here and abroad.
As the museum’s longest running support group, the Museum Council’s mission has been to raise funds for the museum’s exhibitions and youth art programs. The Council provides artistic enrichment and educational opportunities for its members and guests through excursions to Southern California museums, galleries, and private collections. The thirteen founding members of the museum and Museum Council were Joan Brandt, Thelma Chastain, Em Crary, Dorothe Curtis, Kay Farwell, Allene Hays, Judy Hurndall, Gloria Irvine, Jane Lawson, Betty Mickle, Flo Stoddard, Dottie Sullivan, and Betty Winckler. Membership in Visionaries is by invitation only. For more information about the group, click here to contact.
